Dave if I was you pal just get a pup out of stuff already up that way doing there job, miks big brindle dh/sal/gh looks hand type maybe something like over ruby? (Not saying he's at stud byway?)or maybe something out of him?. It hard to say from here in east mids how hard and rugged the terrain is and what suits ect . Lads from up your way would be the ones to look at see what types they run myself id be saying something 26/28' would suit I like sal types so a big dose of that infact id say you'll not be far off with Roy's pu if he's got a touch of selfperawreness about him. The Scottish deerhound wasn't bred for nothing either up therm on them hill's lol.... Either way buddy here's to or better new year! Atb Quote Link to post

bunnys 1,236
myself loydy i would use a good saluki collie grey or failing that a coursing hound collie grey or like ,run any ground have the brain to run sensible ,in rough parts run scotland used collie types xes salukis over thirty yrs back and these types out performed out else back then atb bunnys. i have two off this cross and thay only have a tuch of bull in them and thay are both layed up but i still get a few with the three legged one sorry to here that ,i suppose its part and part of the job ,but if one drps on the types that can run very slow ,and have lots of self preservation i think they would cope better over longer stunts of work in that harsh environment seen a collie grey sal grey small but heavyhandle the bunnies in big numbers up there and alspo on the outer islands .over a good few seasons this was mainly bunny dog but did other game etc ,i suppose when mixing a few breeds its a lottery ,but i would say good luck what eva thy choice of stud .a bish bosh bang type will for eva be in sick bay in those given areas .unless one his really lucky atb bunnys.
