Chid 6,831
Supposedly you need pet passports and rabies jabs if your coming from the south not a clue if they enforce it or not.. but if you come through the north its straight forward keep them in your motor or you can use a kennel but its an extra 20 quid per dog
riohog 5,939
yes you are supposed to have a pet passport but they dont seem to bother coming off the ferry both ways ,,
Brigzy 1,298
I've taken dogs to the republic and vice versa many times. You don't need anything. Just drive on and off the ferry. Pleanty of Irish lads take dogs back and forward no problems.
peterhunter86 8,627
If your getting them brought over by a dog transporter be careful who you use 11 greyhounds were foumd dead in one lastweek
WILF 51,112
Heard they are stepping up controls and checks from December, I wasn't going to bother but for the couple of hundred quid it may be better than having the hassle if you get a tug
mushroom 14,207
Travel to and from the north crossing the border no passport needed for you or the dog
