Hw100 V Daystate M4Is

Recommended Posts

Went out yesterday with both rifles , and fist thing was to check zero on both guns .they both have the same scope on them 4x16x50 side winders ,

First was the m4 it didn't take long as she'd been done befor a few small tweaks, and she was set at 40 yards . All with in a 10p pice .

Next the 100 t , same really again not to much bother with her and she was fine ,

As the hw100 is new I decided to take her first around the perm , keeping close to the hedge

Line I slowley creeper along to I know where rabbits come out into the sun shine, about 40 yards away (hence zero) I laid down and waited for some action , it wasn't long befor big wig

( water ship down ) for those who don't know , poped out of the hedge , I was tempted to take the shot there and then but thought I wait a while , as I found if one comes out a few more will follow , and sure enough after about 10 minutes I found my self looking at 8 thro the scope and trying to decide, which one would be unlucky . By this time they had all moved out into the field about 20 yards from the hedge line , feeling good , I sighted up on the biggest one and slowley squized the trigger . Down it went after a gambol stone dead , I must say I'm very impressed with the trigger action on the 100 , very smooth indeed , most of the bunnies had now done one back to the hedge , and so again it became awaiting game , re loading was smooth and effort less with the side lever , and again I'm inpressed , didn't wait to long befor they came out again , but this time I scoped up and took a shot strate away . And again stone dead .

In conclusion I found the 100 to be dead accurate , constantly smooth and a great rifle to shoot , but I did find it at bit on the heavy side , may be im been a bit critical but over all

I'm glad I got one and it will allways be at the side of me in the future

Compared to the m4is , it's on parr , I think the trigger action on the 4 is better , and with a hugget shrowd and mod on the 4 a little bit less noisy

But money well spent and well happy , a great saving as well money wise . About £400

So if your in the market for a pcp take a look at the hw 100 you won't be disappointed

The mk4 is about the same length as the KT or KS in which case they are lighter than the MK4.

It may be worth getting a a&m cylinder for it far better balance and more shots and a lot lighter and so will your pocket be

I do a lot of natural hide shooting and have decided to leave both of my HW 1OO rifles as heavy as bought.

Both rifles when shot from shooting sticks or bipod are incredibly accurate and with this type of shooting the weight helps me keep my steadiness and accuracy.
