i've had lurchers for 40 years now. always a mix of beddy or deerhound. things changed recently and i came across a young collie grey. the lad had to part with it due to work and housing so i took it on. i have to say, having this dog is a pleasure. he's as bright as anything and learning new stuff daily and has made me think differently about collie cross lurchers.

he's just over a year and starting well. had him out a few times on the lamp but the sh*t warm weather means we haven't been out for a week or two now. really looking forward to this season with this dog. he's gonna make a real good un. he's a blue merle and stands about 26 tts.

Had that cross for many a year, A good one will fill the freezer, and more, good luck with your one, oh 26" is perfect for the job

That is a true statement Rob,...and like yourself,.I have been around hunting dogs for a long time..... Tried most types of lurcher over the years,.. found them all to be just grand,.once you get them into your way of thinking... I think you will enjoy your new Collie cross,...

A good Collie lurcher is worth its weight in gold. But then again, I've had plenty of others with no Collie in them that were pretty amazing. Good comes in all sorts of packages.

Had a great we collie cross myself then at about 5 years old went scatty started to do what it wanted but as we say and know every dogs different have a great season with your pup mate
