can you lay rollout turf over plastic with sand on top or does it need to go on top of soil.

dont see why you would want the plastic???? and you can lay turf on sand but you need a type that will grow well on it....:) its better if you get a sand/soil mix........ :thumbs:

Grass it over and all you have to do is mow it.     320 rolls of turf, 3 days to shift and lay it and a week for my Hamstrings to recover. Sadly, it doesn't look like that anymore. Fu*king dogs.

orignily there was pink pebbles down on that cloth netting its full ta the bxxllexs now with weeds so i pegged black plastic of the building site over it .if i leave the plastic on say a couple a months will the weed come back or is it easier just tip more pebbles on top of the plastic.would rather grass it but not gonna start that digging out carryon lol.

hard to say with no pics mate!!! but ive never known the black plastic trick to work 100% tbh!!!! if you dont wanna dig soak it in ROOT killer for a few weeks and turf it next spring............but weeds will only require a few inches turned over then a good raking, so get your fork out lol........ :thumbs:
