Working Out How Many Miles Ya Done

Just been out with the dog for a afternoon mooch took her out for just over an hour was wondering how far ive done and found this might be of some interest to some of the fellas on here ive done 3.5 miles heres the link for it yer can plan yer route so yer know how much the dog is getting.

Ruby you cant let your wild spaniels off the lead so I'm guessing they walk the exact same distance as you

Before the days of fancy technology i used to bank on walking 1800 steps to 1 mile at a good pace which took around 15 minutes = 4mph........that was roadwork though which is obviously easier...........obssessed as i was if a dog needed 4 miles i would actually count out 7200 steps in my head ....what id of done for a pedometer all those years ago :D .................Handy little link that :thumbs:

1800 mtrs to a mile, roughly a mtr to a step, so i'll give you that...that's some anal roadworking there lol! dedication at it's finest... ;)

What an ice cream eh !........it was before the days i could afford treadmills so the river bank it was ...thank god for Tuffpad :D

remember having my old dogs trained to fetch and retrieve....would walk them far enough to empty out,then take them to this nice grassy hill. would stand at the top with two balls, throw one down the hill, dog would run down and fetch it back, as he dropped it, i'd throw the second...and so on and so on...

Cheers pal bull whip rescued her of a lad who couldnt keep anymore took her for free was last pup turned out a belter,very compact lump like but can shift got heart of a lion lol.

Would never have guessed that breeding lol it's a lump awrite, seen a few lumps shift in me time, some are weirdly fast lol

yeah i know she wasnt like that a year ago or more i had her spade them she went all compact ive had a nightmare getting her lean again but i got there she looks well at the min.Sometimes they just throw bigger have seen some of the pups some are big some are slim line racy type.
