Whippet In Kennel

Recommended Posts

Are you serious about putting heating on for dogs? What's wrong with a draft free kennel and some hay or straw bedding? No wonder dogs are so soft. I keep my dogs out all year round and they never took any harm. I had a litter of pups born last January in -10 and they were totally fine.

A pure whippet will lose more body heat than most lurcher.

I have one here and his like a hot water bottle.

true dogs shiver to try to generate heat, that's why some dogs loose weight in the winter if not in warm kennel , get a heat lamp(red bulb) deff for a whippet , a lurcher with more bodyweight+ coat ok no , but whippet heat lamp

Ive got one here and shes been kennelled since 10 weeks old with no problems. Theres some beddy in her so got a little more coat than most pure whippets but never had any problems with her losing condition/weight in the winter.
