That's because you charged 2-50p each to get in and then money to enter, most I spoke to won't be there again, it was a mistake to put the show on the same day as the aber valley, most went there and most of us wished we had, WM

I charged the same as chirk show, but I had prize money?? and yes it was bad organising on my behalf having it the same day as aber show.

It was the fellas first show, I'd say that I've been to a few shows now so have seen what's around, that venue is top class, the prizes as good or better than most, the Ch. rossettes were some of the best I've seen.

 

There weren't crowds there, but those people that were there, were decent.

 

I think that show has the makings of an excellent show next year, and if it doesn't then at least the lad tried.

S,S, the show was heavily sponsored and I agree that it was a nice friendly show with some lads I haven't seen for years, it does have the makings of a good show as the venue was probably the best I've been to, I think on a day that never clashed the turnout would of made it a huge success, a bit of racing would of helped make it more popular, terrier and lurcher, there were times that there were more dogs in the family ring, recognised judges will also help make it a better day, a good judge will ask whats in a lurcher and judge it accordingly on condition, balance, composition, signs of work, health and age taken into consideration, the average lurcher and terrier man soon works out what some judges like and realises that they are not being judged on all of the above but just on the judges preference for one type, there were some obviously heavily worked larger dogs in great condition that were not given a second look in preference to non worked whippet types, the lady that won the lurcher had over 10 dogs with her and 4 in the final without any signs of work, muscle tone, etc,. I attend a lot of hunt shows and gamefairs most weekends, I never show a dog but meet a lot of old friends that do and some that also judge , I never intended to cause offence by my earlier remarks but hoped it may help make next year a better show, we support a lot of shows with our attendance during the summer and its nice when everything comes together to make a successful show, shows are a fun day out and 100 prize money will take the fun element out of it in my opinion, I personally think the "Conway hunt show" is a good benchmark for anyone putting on a show, good hunting, WM

I enjoyed the show... And was well attended by 11 diffrent hunt terrier men from around the country showing there support for the wynstay .... I for one will be attending next year, as will most of the people I chatted with, the venue takes some beating... Great laugh in the pub afterwards ... I'm just sorry I couldn't attend the BBQ as I had to see to birds... Well done all involved... I might even take a dog next year :-)
