i hope they keep him and he keeps taking the club in the direction its going...

simple fact is he has took on a title winning squad at one of the biggest and best ran clubs in the world, spent over 70million, sacked fergies backroom staff and made phil neville first team coach...

Mate, my father in law is a Man U fan.....for 20 f***ing years I have had to listen to "man u this and Man U that" all the time.........last 4 months ? Not a peep out of the old c**t ! Lol lol   Can

Agree moucher. Myes won't get sacked next season, he'll finish in 4th at best which will buy him another season. That season with the added CL games just like all the other top clubs will see him struggle again like this season. I reckon he'll be there for another 2 seasons then he'll get the heave ho.

Only thing I can't see him getting another two seasons.

If he don't get CL football next year I think he will have to go.

He will lose the club to much money with no CL football.

Then where does it end with the amount of money he spends

If he did indeed have the same premier league winning squad he inheritted from Fergie.............then whats the point giving him this magical 200 mill figure to go and spend when he has the best team in the country under his nose...............personally i dont think its quite as straight forward as Fergie was great and Moyes is shit........

For starters i think Fergie pulled a massive stroke walking away when he did.....he knew that squads time was up and also knew Van Persie won the title virtually singlehanded in what was for Van Persie a freakish season in that he stayed fit throughout...............this year he is back to normal injured most of the time, the squad is another year past it......and all the other top sides have come on a lot since last year....................so should we be that surprised Utd are struggling.

cant believe all the hype because utd finishing the season 6th/7th in the premier league,if they finished near the bottom fare enough but to say managers must go because they won nothing this seasons a joke.so every season if utd win nothing a manager change is needed, what did ferguson achieve in his first years at utd.

The squad was in theory, too old and inadequate to win it under fergie last season but they did. No one is saying its a great team, but a great manager got them playing like one whereas moyes....... As for fergie pulling a stroke, the guy couldn't win no matter what he did. If he spent knowing he was going, would moyes be getting £200 mill to build his own team? I think instead of making out fergie pulled a fly one, he should be getting plaudits for getting on with what he had knowing moyes would want to rebuild and still managed to finish his last season as champions. What a guy :notworthy:

Well said Officer Fud ! Lol

Everyone is missing the point here, the chat about did Fergie do this or Moyes do that is totally irrelevant when talking about teams like Manchester United.......there are no "ifs" or "buts" the fact is they MUST be up there in contention for the top honours season after season because the whole business model is based on that.

Moyes is a nothing manager so far, end of story.

Teams like MU can't suffer that for very long.

That would make sense if Traffords new CEO had not flew over the top of Fergie (after announcing his transfer targets) and publicly stated he would be working with Sir Alex and sees little need on pumping money into a squad that had just won the league by 11 points (honest to god) Fortnight later Fergie announced his retirment and for my money started the downturn spinning by letting his ego get all offside by letting the world know Rooney had asked for a transfer....in his closing speech, with the player contracted to play on. Fergie did a blinder with Cantona (twice) but inherited and took great applause for the young manc kids brought into the club and schooled by other people..who he later also chose to go public on (for $'s). Falling out with the paddys over the gg sperm allowed the door to open for the Jews, for a well documented (wine anyone?) socialist he stuck to the party line of no value in transfer market..knowing he would be sat upstairs for even more money for playing jewball.

The Cockney reds were laffing a lot about winning the title by a full 11 points, last yr, now they are on course to post the meekest ever premiership defence of that title, along with loseing the Busby Babes '57 record of greatest amount of goals in a footballing season.

If anything oneredtrim I think everyone knowing Rooney wanted a transfer and moyes getting him to stay, helped moyes win over the fans. The rest is hearsay and I'll take your word for it.

You want to have a word with Rooney Baw cause he reckons he did'nt put in a transfer request (seperate to him earlier arriving at Citys door with his agent) and certainly made Trafford pay for Fergies public call-out, having seen how he received more monies first time around.. the gift horse (whoops) from Fergies ego must have been too gud to turn down.

Maybe if Fergie had stuck to being manager of a football team instead of the all conquering God of a football club they wouldnt be in this position now...........Leaving a side in major need of overhaul after his last few years of short term thinking.....not to mention the fall out with the Rooney thing he left a new manager with..........did he not say in his retirement statement " it was important for me to leave the squad in the strongest possible shape and i think i have done that " :icon_eek: .....Personally i dont think last years side was much better than this years.......Whoever was next in line after Fergie was always going to have a hard task to live up to but it was Ferguson who inadvertently created the conditions to which Moyes has been found wanting.....and most importantly.....it was the mighty Alex Ferguson who chose David Moyes over Mourinho wasnt it ?
