Re-Worked Hardwood Milbro

Recommended Posts

Well after my failed attempt with the oak milbro that snapped after a fork hit, I set about making another, just this time with a multiplex core. Made this one from ash, with walnut spacers and walnut palm swell. I've banded it up and it feels so much stronger with the added multiplex core and confident it could withstand fork hits. Yeah it is ply mate, but it's birch ply rather than normal construction ply. Multiplex is normally used in making furniture. Construction ply is ok for catties it just doesn't look that nice, if you can get ply then it's good for practising making different catties with it.
