Born Hunter 17,910
What makes me laugh is all these folk that hate Thatcher so spitefully for nationalising many of our state industries in the same breath scream "UKIP!"................. like they would do any different!Im sure you mean 'privatising?' LOL, I'm mid way through an argument with a roughneck grease monkey. My brain got it backwards, lol.
gonetoearth 5,144
The idea that a politician can make everyone have a f**k you jack attitude is frankly complete and utter nonsense.......I don't need a politician to tell me to help out in the community, at the school, the old folks club, football, giving things to locals in need. I am more than capable of doing all these things myself. GTE we agree on lots of things matey but we won't agree on this. I have never seen work, money or a job as a right that should be paid for by others no matter what the cost, if I want money in my bin I go out and generate some myself. Nationalised industry never did this EVER ! If something's dead, then bury it ! . Nither have i. Wilf. That not what am on about Ive said it many time. Its the waste of genorations and accepts. Thats my beef she was not alone and many have followed. Poor excusses for leaders making life changing desions That will effect people and nations for decades. The Seeker 3,048
This was the beginning of Great Britain going to shit Communities and helping one another was swept away for Thatchers I'm or right jack ' dog eat dog world. The second instance was the Hunting Ban After this labour thought we can do as we please And they did bringing in statutes on a weekly basis to enslave the population. We maybe have one more chance as a Nation It's worth a shot Vote Ukip United Kingdom Independence Party well said max once she destroyed the unions with her propaganda ( much the same as the propaganda about coursers etc being spread by the police and bbc etc today) the working class were f****d .if the nation had come out at the time with the miners and brought her government down its a sure thing this country wouldnt be the shit hole it is today . Wow.... You REALLY believe that if the unions had brought down the government we would be better off now? A country under complete influence of Union Rule. Why do you think Ed Millipede is trying to distance the Labour Party from them? I remember all the strikes in the 70's early 80's the country was on its knees, people talk about greed but what about the greed of the unions, they were holding the country to ransom while the rest of the world were passing us by. Oh by the way how's Scargill getting on with suing the Miners Union he so dearly fought for so he can have his free £34K per ann 2nd home in London, isnt this the same money paid in by the miners he claimed to represent 30 years ago?
WILF 50,150
A question, if these communities were so close knit, why did someone not put their hand up and say "hold it, the union is f***ing the whole job up here and we will pay the price?" I guess no one wants to rock the gravy boat when they are on a good screw but if you nail your colours to the mast without thinking on then don't piss and moan when the ship go's down.
Born Hunter 17,910
Born in all fairness your probably to young and geograpicaly born to a village or town that was not affected by what Thatcher did. You can't begin to comprehend what she did to whole communities'areas'familys and generations. What she did communities still haven't recovered from. She lied If you watched the documentary last night the proof has came out that she lied. As for her offspring they are filth who should be in a jail And why should the British taxpayer of stumped up 10 million for the bitches funeral Let her family pay' they rich enough. The slag left 300 years worth of coal under ground These pits are now flooded She was a money obsessed fooking bitch Here's hopeing she is burning in hell. Max, I love how you think I'm some priveliged middle class Tory boy. LOL. I'm not getting into this perpetual argument about mining, been there and done that. I just wanted to mention how I find it ironic how the Thatcher haters follow their spite with UKIP praise.........
Malt 379
A question, if these communities were so close knit, why did someone not put their hand up and say "hold it, the union is f*****g the whole job up here and we will pay the price?" . because they were standing up for something they believed in Wilf.. Takes a lot of courage to see something like that through to the bitter end IMO..
WILF 50,150
Fair play Malt, I respect anyone for standing up for what they believe when it means hardship for them but if they didn't have the common sense to see the logical conclusion of what the unions were doing to the country then that's not Thatchers fault........it's the disease blaming the medicine IMHO mate
gnasher16 31,490
Its mad listening to people still sobbing, whingeing and blaming others having made no attempt to lift themself out of a bad situation.........Baw hit the nail on the head about the " blame culture "........we tend to moan about todays generation and the " blame culture " we see from youngsters.......yet topics like this prove its been around years, long before todays generation..........for some folk its easier to blame others than role your sleeves up. Then when you listen to the vile no class shit spoken about a now dead old woman, regardless what you thought of her.........you start to realise maybe some folk get what they deserve out of life..........in the appropriate words of an old saying i like ................................" WILF 50,150
GTE, genuine question......what did she have to lie about? Was it that the unions were always on f***ing strike? Was it that the NUM wanted to bring down the government and replace a democratically elected government with a labour one of their choosing ? Was it the rubbish on the street for 6 weeks going rotten or the unburied corpes of people's loved ones stacked up in warehouses cause the grave diggers were on strike? Was it about us having to go cap in hand to the IMF for a bail out ? Was it the black outs, or the working miners that were murderd for wanting to do a days graft? What exactly did she lie about mate?

WILF 50,150
The union simply has to be broken, they sacrificed their members at the alter of their own ego ! End of story.
