We live in a democracy, allegedly. If our monarch, who is not elected by the people, was to start behaving in an autocratic manor it would rapidly be the end of the monarchy full stop. I'm not against a monarchy, but I want her to do her job. It would be the end of the monarchy if the serving monarch acted with autocracy in 21stC Britain. It's that simple.
