FUJI 17,729
i reckon that pom does more than half the dogs on here It was real hard graft yesterday Paulus..mile upon mile of that clear fell and if not that knee deep heather or rocks and scree on the fellsides and the weather was desperate but it never bothers lol..put a couple of beasts up yesterday but we blanked but today we scored so keeps the gang happy and the freezer full ")
FUJI 17,729
Had a good walk today..my son in law wanted to tag along as he was off work so I kept it relatively easy and stayed off the high ground but we strolled on for a shade over 13 miles ..took Boots,Don and Ruby the Pom..my son in law couldn't believe how much running about the Pom done haha..he said with its wee legs it must of been like walking 70 miles lol..
FUJI 17,729
The river above is the only spawning ground in England for the Arctic Char..these past few days the Environment Agency have been gathering the spawn and taking off to a hatchery in Kielder in aid to help keep the numbers of the fish at a respectable level..they are the rarest fish in the whole of Great Britain..they are currently making a film of them with the use of underwater cameras..I've seen some clips myself and they are fantastic to see in the crystal clear waters up here in the Lake District..
