Outlaw Pete 2,224
I'm definitely getting too old for this game! For some days now, there's been a vile odour, bothering me, in my store room. Seen a mouse in there on a couple of occasions. (Yeah. I know. Only, in this situation cure is better than prevention) Dog's been very interested. But, god, that smell ....! Just now gone in there, to fetch a beer. Pest was pretty much marking the far corner. The whole room had a vile whiff about it. I knew there were no traps set where she was indicating. So, that would have been the scent of live mouse. It'll find the Snappa box eventually. And then, I saw it. A Snappa box out of place. Set up on a shelf at eye level. Don't tell me ..... I Really, seriously didn't want to open that f**king box! But, I knew I had to ..... Took the key out of my pocket and popped the lid. O M F G!!! Ran for the back door. Nearly tripped over the Dog. Dropped the f**king box, so the trap, complete with grossly ballooned up Wood Mouse clattered to the floor! Managed to pick it up without touching anything and dashed out to the compost box, trying to hold me breath. Shook the stinking thing into the compost and turned away. Then, as I fell to my knees and threw up all over the grass, I thought to myself: " I'm getting too old for this game! " 2 Quote Link to post

forest of dean redneck 12,023
i had one of those blue plastic barrels stood up at the allotment and it had about just under foot of water in it.something made me wander over to it as I was leaving one day .I looked in ,nothing unusual looking, gave it a shake as the water swirled around funny,so bit more effort and there it was a bloated up dead rat ,the smell hit me then it had fur dropping out of it.I held me breathe dragged it to the boundary hedge about 12 ft from my plot tipped it up then ran back dragging the now empty barrel Quote Link to post

Yes...squashing the poor cat The cat must have followed her up the ladders the yr before when she had taken the Xmas tree down and stored it up there. Quote Link to post
