Healthy Option?

We can buy a packet of fags in a shop, over the counter, use as much as we care to pay for, yet they are bad for you.

 

I was just wondering,

Is there anything we can buy, walk about with, and use that is actually good for you? :hmm:

 

Packets of sweeties ? - Not really, Full of sugar, make your teeth fall out.

Fruit? - Can't see me walking about with a bunch of bananas in my pocket to take every Hr. or so..

Bottle of water? - Possibly, but end up p**hin' all day.

 

Just stood there puffing away thinking about it.

Had a similar conversation the other day, not exactly the same but he got into triathlons a few years ago, he eventually built his way up to iron man standard and he reckons for the average joe bones in the street, it cost the best part of ten grand to prep for an ironman!!!! Factoring in the cost of the event at about 400 quid alone, a bike around 3 to 5 grand, suits, coaching fees, trainers and replacements, repairs to bike during training, travel to build up events and entrance fees etc and supplements correct food diet etc its a f***ing fortune!!! But to hold your head and say you finished in the top ten in uk double iron man he said it was worth every penny, but yeah I get what you say, to be healthy requires dedication and high levels of personal admin, another friend of mine is really into crossfit and he preps his days food in the morning for an hour before work, that's a sacrifice right there, not willing to to just lie on and make do, but to get up and crack on, considering both these guys have young families they have had to make cutbacks in other areas in order to facilitate the hours required to do this, there not the guys you'll find straight in the boozer on a Friday in their work kit, each to their own but at the best part of 8 bar for a twenty deck can you blame them!!!?

They only joy of being out of work,I had two yrs f***ing about trying to be self-employed.

I was at my fittest and lightest,visited the gym every day,walked there because I only had fuel for the small amounts of work I had to do.would go jogging 2 miles to a football field and then do goal posts sprints.I was lucky as I had a training partner that was mad keen as well.

Genetics will play a part, some folk are born just naturally athletic and capable others have to work double hard to be like it and may still never get to the point of the person born that way

True about genetics...worked with a lad, built along the lines of mayweather, smoked 20 a day,ate shite all week,pissed from Thursday night until Monday morning.

Hadn't visited a gym since leaving school ten yrs before and wouldn't have looked out of place on the front cover of a men's health magazine....

 

Hated the b*****d...lol

True about genetics...worked with a lad, built along the lines of mayweather, smoked 20 a day,ate shite all week,pissed from Thursday night until Monday morning.

What's he like now?? Probably got a pot belly, looking old as f**k and never out the doctors. Not always the outside its what your doing to your insides that count.

Like the post above ,,, good mate of mine the same,, smoked bit of a caner as well,,, but the fecker was always in good shape,, very lean with great abs,,and a good sportsman in particular rugby,, mind he s an ozy,,, when I could get him in to the gym for a month or so straight,, fecker grew like a ballon,,, just a lucky fecker genetics wise

But what can you buy in a packet that you can consume, (like a packet of fags) but actually does you some good (unlike the fags)?

Fruit, but nothing silly like bananas. Try a small packet of raisins or nuts, small enough to go in the pocket but easy to eat some of then put away again. Or celery, it's what I eat to keep boredom at bay, gives me something to do, but there are no calories in it.
