Ive seen it before. My ferrets got infested after doing this particular bit of land last season. They were kind of clustered around the genitals and a hole of all my ferrets . I treated it with baytril and it cleared up. I did the same piece of land on Thursday and this time I used baytril on the 2 jills as soon as I got them home and put them in a separate hutch.

I didn't realise they were at all dangerous though hope your dogs ok.

Edited to say I meant Beaphar don't know where I got Baytril.

I red something about them the other day and it confused me a bit, 5 years ago my dog was a pup we done a spot of woodland ferreting bolted rabbits that all had orange all over their fur round eyes etc, next day the pup had it all under her I was a bit para as I hadn't seen it before so took her to the vet I was told It was harvest mites don't worry it's just the time of year, dog was fine and that was that no problems so can't understand what the danger is?
