Sons Of Anarchy ....?

Recommended Posts

The Wire tends to get that edge over The Sopranos, in just about every poll I read. Breaks my f**king heart to say it. But; I agree. I have them both on Boxed Set and shall probably die watching one or the other, yet again. Two of the greatest things I've ever watched.

Wire does just have that razors edge though. Bodie is one cool (and likeable) Nigga. Omar is just too f**king cool for existence! :D

McNulty was a fantastic character too; In as much that we come to love him ~ then end up tiring of and f**king despising him, for the waster he truly is! Brilliantly transitioned!

Oh, and Snoop! :icon_eek: I spent much of the first viewing feeling Terrible! Because I was convinced that was a guy! And I had this undeniable 'Feel' for 'Him'! :icon_redface: Thank god I was vindicated! What a scrumptiously cool little chick that is! Hump.gif

Yeah. The Wire. The Sopranos. Breaking Bad. Thank god they Do make shit like that any more!

It doesn't come close to the three series of Spartacus constant scheming fukcing and fighting in all its ultimate gore and passion .... And don't get me started on game of thrones ........

If its tits fanny ass and every type of fukcing known to man mixed in with fight scenes that end in certain mutilation then Spartacus is the series to watch ..........

I wouldn't mind a flash of tit though. Why did they make it so tame?   I didn't realise it was still ongoing. Figured it had finished and so they'd sold the job lot to Netflix. That's the case then

Dare; Breaking Bad was the first, whole serial, thing I watched on 'Flix. I basically ate, slept and watched BB.

Got to agree, mate; It Was the f**king material! :D

There drip feeding the final episodes every week on Netflix take a look it's not a seperate series it continues on from the last block of series. Can't wait for the next installments, Jessie needs to man the f*ck up.

Snoop is actually involved in crime in real life. Been done for being part of a heroine ring. I also thought it was a bloke and struggled to understand her at first lol.

For me the best character has to be stringerbell. Omar being gay made him even more of a f****d character lol didnt expect that at all.

Pete sopranos is also another love of mine lol got them both DVD box sets. Woke up this morning got myself a gun is one catchy aint lol. Bloody watching that and goodfellas makes me think I was born in the wrong country and time zone lol. Bloody amazing life the mafia members must have had during its peak period. Also think the criminals looked better in how they dressed compare to the trampy looking clothes many wear today lol.

I've just started series 6 of the Sopranos watched nothing else for the last few months than this

It's f*ckin awesome. You probably already know this but Silvio Dante is Bruce Springsteens Guitarist

Another fantastic box set is 24, I watched the first 3 series and have the rest waiting but Breakin Bad, Sopranos, sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones and Walkin Dead keep getting n the way

Thinking about it it's been one hell of a few years for really good TV series.

Killed another girl when she was fourteen I believe? We're talking genuine, hard core Niggas here! Omar's player discovered her. Met her in a night club and decided she should be part of the show. (Just gets cooler, doesn't he? :D)

" Woke Up ..... " I simply Never tired of listening to that / watching the opening sequence! And I've watched it two or three times now. It's a bit like unwrapping something ye Know ye gonna like, isn't it? A very real part of the over all pleasure. Ramping up the anticipation of what's to come next.

Wire, interestingly / cleverly, changed " The Devil In His Hole ", of course. That was a nice touch.

Sons kept is very short and sweet. Good move, I thought. Not trying to compete with the other two. That would have just been silly.

I could have taken, or left, the Uilleann pipes bit, during the Irish bit. And those f**king accents ....! :icon_eek:

Would ye believe, I'm watching " I'm Allan Partridge " now?! Complete change, to give the mind a rest period. (Is it completely bad that I see nothing wrong with Lyn, his PA :hmm:)

Next up is " Luther ". That comes highly recommended.

Good Fella's? Broke the f**king mould after that one, didn't they?

Steven Van Zandt has since gone on to make a series of his own. " Lillyhammer ". It's getting some pretty damn good reviews too! On my 'Flix list! ;)

Like Steven, The Boss himself is a native of Noo Joysee

Yeah keep the devil in the house is by Tom waits. I hate the blokes music he done alot of stuff with a megaphone. For some reason my dad really likes him lol. Can't knock devil in the hole though its defiantly a theme song you remember. Stringerbell for me was the man that series, had the brains. Thing I love about the wire is how it shows you all levels and how it really is for people. Would be good if something was done like that for the uk. It will never touch the wire but would still be good. Most the uk crime films I find are shit and always over the top sterotypes. Be good to see our version of the hoppers though right up to the kingpins. Often wonder why the wire and sopranos had to come to an end. Those series could go on forever.

Currently the rest of my house is watching the redone prisoner cell block h, not even in the same class as any of the above though. Once I'm upto date with breaking bad ill start catching up with sons.

Don't know if you seen it by the way but same people who don't the wire had a shorter similar series before it called the corner.

Watched Lilly Hammer when it was on TV, enjoyed it, not a patch on the list above but still worth a watch. It's more light hearted than the other series mentioned.

There's a fair good cop series called Southland if you get bored Pete - not your typical cop drama that's for sure - ... tho it seems you'll never get bored with all the catching up you've got to do

I watched all of the Wire a while ago and I proper enjoyed it
