FUJI 17,729
Had owld Venus out earlier on with her sister Swift & half brother Don...oh and the Pom whom she shook fook out of the other day lol..grumpy old bugger, saying that the Pom is a little b*****d and it pushes it's luck..Swift done it in the other week in fact I reckon both of them would of killed her had I not been present? Anyhow got away at 9am and returned about 5.30pm..what a day!!! Red hot from start to finish...parked up at Bowness Knott then walked the 6 miles to Black Sail YHA passed that and climbed Black Sail Pass and up onto Pillar which is also known as Black Crag,it's the 12th highest peak in England at 892m and less than 300ft below Scafell the tallest, from there we descended and on towards Scoat Fell but between the two Fells it is known as Windy Gap and it was here I decided to make our way back down through what was treacherous underfoot conditions towards Lingmell and Ennerdale Lake..walked over 14 miles in blazing heat, probably too much for the pooches but hey ho we are back, fed and watered etc now..still Venus loses all her weight after a good trek up there, gets fed more than she can eat,I'm sure once Tomo gets home and fires some proper good food down her she will be grand,I've just still got them on shit really, don't want them fired up in August,I like to bring them to the boil late October time for when the weather hopefully takes a turn for the worse lol...back out in the morning, not sure what mutts will be getting the long haul and what will be getting a blast on the beach?... Wasn't looking very promising viewing Pillar this morning... I think this is a young Redstart? 2 Quote Link to post
