Any Basc Members…

I know BASC offers courses ect :)

I need to dream up a few courses like the BASC, charge people a shit load of money to teach them half baked theories about things I know nothing about and have not much pratical experience of.

you want to learn anything, my advice would be, find a decent keeper or experienced hunting lad and ask them.

you will learn more and better and it wont cost you a penny

All the BASC are interested in is "running things" so that they can exploit the maximum amount of money out of it for the minimum amount of effort.

Join the CA, NGO or SACS.....They are all useless but they just dont charge as much for it and the CA represents a much wider body of fieldsports

Well I guess so, I'm normally one to try before I give an opinion but it seems BASC aren't very popular ^_^

When you say they're useless……?

Like most of these things mate, they blag that they will do all sorts of things for field sports or to protect you in the event of a claim or dealings with the police......but that's all just to get your money out of you, once all the top bods are having dinner with some MP it gin and tonics all round for the boys and bollocks to the members.

All your buying is a bit of paper to say your insured really and if your gonna get ripped off then it may as well only be for £25 rather than £60

If you want to see an organisation that stands up,for shooting then just take a look at the NRA in America.......they just give the politicians two fingers and crack on, the likes of BASC would never do that

I guess that's the idea in mind is to be NRA but I guess America is a totally different place, they let any psycho have a gun, no offense to any decent Americans on here who actually use them properly.

I wanted to have the BASC membership just so I could show my permissions I am committed to do the job properly (how they see it by being covered) and show them I am covered if for any unfortunate event was to occur.

You will no doubt way up the odds matey and spend your money how you see fit, just saying you can get the same for half the money.

And by the way, I don't really agree with your " any psycho" comment, I look on it more like they trust people to make the right choices and give them the freedom to do so......if you step over the line they come down on you like a ton of bricks.

Anyway, it's all JMHO

All the best matey

Aside from SACS, and the terrier guys....I don't have a whole lot to say for any field sports organisation to be honest...If their Chief Executives and every title below them were so passionate about what they did they wouldn't need £100,000 a year and an expenses credit card to do it - And the money could be put towards what their supposed to do...

I can see your reason for disagreeing but on a personal level, I have my reasons too, besides its not just the US as we know. Just on the subject of NRA.

I'd like to see a world where we can go on trust and a gentleman's agreement but its these people who make people like us pay the price of their wrong doings, be that licenses or pushing up the prices of rifles etc.

That's all I'm getting at, I'm not diving any deeper thats for another topic and I'm sure you can see my point. :)

I spoke to a rep at the basc stand years ago at drumlanrig(sp) gamefare. Idiot didnt give two hoots about the concerns involving terrier and lurcher work in Scotland. What he knew about these branches of field sports he had obviously learned from the general media. I wouldnt join them if membership was free.

Just my opinion.

They could get a million pound a year for all I care, if that's the wages that the wages. You wouldn't complain if it was you anyway. But I do agree with the money being spent correctly first... Although majority of it is legal stuff where the haven't got the bollocks not the financial side..:-)

Hi I’m new and wasn’t too sure where to post, we have our first lurched pup, he’s 13 weeks and had his injections we took him out yesterday it was wet, and he ate some cow poo however he was sick in car on the way home, today he’s got the start of diarrhoea and is shivering, my question is could it be the cow poo or the fact he got cold
      Thankyou

I was playing with a tennis ball in the garden with my dog and when he tried to pick up the ball he yelped and didn’t wanna play no more and his tail went in like he was scared so as I went to check his mouth he cries when I open it, I’ve tried to feed him and he eats but he doesn’t want to open his mouth too wide he nibbles on his food? Any help?

Damn what the f**k is this, my camera noticed it in the forest near my hut, who can explain what kind of f***ing is this? I recently walked through the woods and saw such garbage, I thought it seemed to me, but it seems that it is not. I'm now f***ing afraid to go there. My wife says I'm a dickhead. This asshole in the bottom left corner.

If anyone sees Fairgame at all, can they please, please ask him to get in touch with Foxy in Devon as soon as possible. I realise it's a bit of a blast from the past, but I would be so grateful if anyone can help.
      Many thanks.
