Katie's Last Outing For A While...

Recommended Posts

Well fellas as you know tomorrow I pick up my new beast the hw100kt .22, so I will be using this rifle quite a lot over the next few weeks getting used to it, finding the g spot, erm I mean sweet spot  testing different pellets for accuracy and power and calibrating it all and getting it set up properly as my main hunting rifle, so my hw97kt will probably not get a look in for a while!

so my mate shows up and hes off camping at my permission again so I grabbed the 97 and went for a mooch , chill, and a beer with him.

checked zero at 25 yards and 4 shots went high above the bull as expected, all touching. jobs a good un. wemt for a quick mooch and got a squirrel that I heard rustling the tree high up. first shot missed , forgot to hold under like a muppet, but 2 mins later, it, or a different squirrel came back and presented a good side on clear shot on a naked branch. correct range and angle hold under accounted for this time, very elevated and about 23-25 yards, and the squizzey just dropped straight down with a FTT .177 flying through its brain at a rate of knots, turning the lightswitch off.

so that will do for my mate to cook on the open fire ;)

as I was waiting for the squirrel I rested my back and rucksack against a tree, and heard a pop noise, thought it was my bag of seabrooks.. got back to camp opened my bag and there was all my gear, LRF etc drowning in strongbow, the bloody can had popped open in my bag

and now photobucket seems to be playing up so I cant upload the pic of the squirrel

off to wash & lube a few tins of .22 pellets now ready for tomorrow :boogy:

then get a nice hot bath with a nice cold strongbow

Nice one fella  i bet you Katie still gets a look in mate after ten minutes you will get bored of the 100s accuracy and ease

probably will lol. but with it being .22 and faster reloading it will be my main hunting gun. and I would get bored of shooting targets with it- would be too easy and a pain in the arse filling it up all the time.

so in comes KaTie my little target plinker, to keep my skills sharp as a marksman and make sure I can still do my bit properly  plus .177 pellets are cheaper, and im skint now after splashing out on a new gun, pump and bipod all at once hahaa

cheers mate ATB SKoT :victory:
