Born Hunter 17,966
Literally only yesterday I was reading about Gibraltar. Same rule goes for the Gibraltarians as the Falklanders, if they want to remain British then we will let them. I believe the last vote was over 99% in favour of remaining a British Overseas Territory! This'll go no further than politics but I do hope our politicians respond appropriately!
Born Hunter 17,966
Interestingly Gibralter was very nearly the first major Argentine attack on non South Atlantic territory durring the Falklands. A small Argie swimmer canoeist commando unit was flown out to Spain where they were to covertly cross to Gilbratar and attach Limpet mines to our Naval vessels. They carried out all the reccon and were ready for the attack but foiled by Spanish police. They were consiquently treated very well by the Spanish authorities and released after the conflict, in spite of the fact Spain is a NATO member and had a full obligation to inform us (their NATO allies) of the attempted attack.
