Its at times like these...............................                                                                     I wish i'd bought that bigger freezer....

hope it was one of yon b*****ds that hissed at me other day lol thats got to be a piss take!

There not a very good one then........

Just out of curiosity whats the rarest bird native to these shores?

im telling you .great bustard

Great Bustard doesn't count. Those present now are reintroductions. They're strictly a once native bird. But they have a slightly plastic feel to them. Almost down there with Lab's glorified chickens

Want a rare, native bird? Red Backed Shrike has to be a contender. But, again, it's down to how fine ye want to cut ye parameters. See; They are listed as a British Native.

But, they were wiped out, as a Breeding bird, some time ago. In fact, they'd not bred for so many years (decades) that they had to have been considered extinct as a native resident. Okay?

Meanwhile, there were still odd ones nipping over from the continent. (I saw one myself). And now, birds crossing the water have actually stuck around and bred.

Now, there's a quandary! What say you, Scot? Foreign immigrants breeding on British soil. Does that make their offspring 'British' enough for you to accept them? :tongue2:
