Malt 379
I missed it, but I heard Vine on about it to Ken Bruce when they do that bit about what's coming up next towards the changeover. Thought it sounded like a crackpot idea!

Astral 253
When I saw this topic I envisioned a thread about improving natives wildlife habitat, removing invasive species, increasing British wild flower meadows and green belt land blah blah and was all ready to comment about how I agree and what a fantastic idea Then I actually read it? Did he take a side of LSD with his coffee that morning? Fooking Rhinos? Um...Pretty sure they never were part of our "wild-life" (Unless he's talking about the Woolly Rhino that existed in England before the last ice age)...and jesus christ if he took two seconds to wikipedia he'd realize our winters would kill them off pretty quickly... I'm just shocked that he would suggest something so insane. They may well have found animals relating to the modern equivalents...but we're talking about species that died out thousands of years ago. What may or may not have been found under Traffalga would most certainly not have been an Asian or African Elephant lol, and yes we did have Rhino....last one vanished abut 20'000 years ago...
