border lad 1,047
this debate, has been done from the time of using the Lurcher in the field, and you will always have two divisions, for and against, its your dog, do as you wish, my opinion, Educate your dog to the country side, school your dog for when you will really ask the question off it, Recall, retrieving a dummy to hand, stay, and stand,, and of course stock breaking, take it through sheep, regular, and getting it to jump,, and by the time you have done all that to a decent standard, there will be some soft bunnys running around, always nice for a sapling to get his mouth on a couple of soft rabbits, by the time he is around 14 months his muscles, will be well toned, and should be ready for action,,,, IF you keep taking a youngster to the edge of there abilitys, running wise that is, you can sicken them very easily and there is NO RETURN FROM THAT ONE, only my opinion, 2 Quote Link to post
