FUJI 17,710
dogs really taking shape now pal. do you get many injurys with your dogs on there pal Touch wood, nothing at all KC ..had them out at Crummock Water today and I was absolutely thrilled with them, not because they caught anything,I ain't out to catch anything but i got to see that they are going to be more than point and slip merchants..they've been present when my elder dogs have put gear horizontal but today on their own with the Pom they were going mad scenting and trying to climb a rock face lol, they scrambled up and over and way up the Fell in some dense forestry and moments later a beastie was in full flight, they followed on..when they returned they were fecked lol but atleast they are using their noses to hunt as well as their eyesight..over the moon with them I was :-) 5 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,710
Hey up Dodge...aye those slopes can get a fellow puffing and blowing lol...to be honest I've never seen a single person on the Fells stopping for a smoke of a ciggy haha..either to tired gasping for air or they are all health freaks? If my back and knees weren't bolloxed I'd be brand new but alas they ain't so I just load up on painkillers and away we go but always take extra with me and take more as and when I need them..that footwear you mentioned Saloman or however you spell it? I was looking at them myself,do you recommend them big fella? Like you said I think footwear is the be all and end all when it comes to trekking about for several hours...Atb Andy 1 Quote Link to post

Guest vin
looking good Andy.. fine looking animals they are. cant beat a pair of miendle boot for your job mate... all them Salomon and them types are great but more for climbing mountains etc etc they dont like the spade work though. If your boots are comfy and still workable..Buy yourself a pair of them SealSkins Socks mate. . . check em out on youtube etc etc.. they work great..feet totally dry no matter what footwear you have on..and there not sweaty. . . One of the best £20 I ever spent on my tackle. see you soon old chap. vin Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,710
Thanks for the info Dodge & Vin it's much appreciated...was up this morning at 4.15am so thought we would get away early doors, the sun was shining,it was a topper of day,we were out the motor just prior to 6.00am,had a good walk, the lurchers are still lying quiet Ruby is yapping in her cage wanting out lol, according to the iPhone we done 14.78 miles lol,we were in no rush, stopped several times drinking tea etc and also stopped twice to gossip both times to avid hunting fans which makes a change lol,one chap from East Anglia who has a Saluki/Grey himself was amazed at how sensible the pups were and couldn't believe they wouldn't chase sheep lol, when I stopped to talk they just lay down and loads of people passed on foot and on bike and they never moved,he was flabbergasted (his words) haha.. Rubbish pic but you get the drift .. Edited May 31, 2013 by FUJI 1 Quote Link to post
