Strange Bop???????

Watching that clip is is very difficult to tell the difference between a Gos and Buzzard? It was its flight movement more than its body shape/ features that drew me too it more than anything...........I shall be keeping a look out.... :D

 

should have gone to specsavers :laugh: one`s a burrito and the other an accipiter :thumbs:

lab was it the same colour as a sparrow hawk or brownie looking like a buzzard

Id say more like the brown of the buzzard mate...........it was like a small, quick Buzzard. Its wings looked leaner if that makes any sense?

Sorry my eye sight is shit hot but i never got a look at its f*****g eyes................. :laugh:

 

It can look for poults all it wants....if it finds its way in through a net i'll f*****g bet you it doesnt find its way out....... :angel:

 

Apologies for bothering you with a genuine question. I didn't realise you were colour blind.

 

Sorry i thought you were taking the piss mate..................I was about 100 yards from it today... :thumbs:

Id say more like the brown of the buzzard mate...........it was like a small, quick Buzzard. Its wings looked leaner if that makes any sense?

 

put a dead rabbit or pheasant down and wait the crows will alert it to free food then you will have your answer as buzzards are mostly carrion eaters :thumbs:

They all look much of a muchness to me, but goshawks eyes are so red you can't miss them.

very much doubt it but any wild bird will probably take a free meal but they usually kill their own food

maybe a harris hawk escaped from a falconer near by???

Its not a Harris mate..........its lighter than that in colour. It had the bars across its tail, similar to the Spar actually but its bigger than that.....ive seen a few of them.... :angel: Looked at loads of pics now so its either a Gos or its a giant Spar........ :laugh:

Eye colour depends on age and breeding some gos's eyes will stay yellow and a lot have orange eyes

I know the Spar has to eat what it kills and doesnt eat carrion. Funny cause i watched a bird come along yesterday and take away a dead chick that was on the shed roof....that bird was a Jackdaw.... :yes:

Not strictly true. Gos eyes start yellow and go from that to an orange and then red later in life. A red eyed gos is a very mature bird.
