J Darcy 5,871
My guess is that a female munty had a small fawn very near to where dog's are exercised. She was aggressive and made the first move in scaring the dog, which meant she attacked them. This was April, so the fawning date would be accurate enough and that is why five dogs were injured in that exact vicinity. IMO. Quote Link to post

IMO. do munties not give birth year round? and has a female got the armoury to do this to a dog? my guess is it's a buck, possibly hand raised and released, certainly once it learned it could see off a dog it would have become more confident............. Now I'm baffled, are you saying muntjac doe's have tusks and they have a season? Also beast why would it be possibly hand raised, if a bucks caught there's a good chance he's going to go ape shit and try slash whatever he can if he is able to do so. Quote Link to post

j1985 1,984
Maybe, my guess is the terrier found it in cover and the buck thought "f**k you" and let it have it! Similar thing happened to one of my Russell's, went in a bush and came out looking like some one had took a Stanley to her neck. I have so many muntjac near me it's a joke, I see more than rabbits. I'm surprised more dogs haven't got into trouble with them. Quote Link to post
