i have seen this xs and all and lots depends on the terrier if one use a large fell type bred for earht work and a no nonesense type not the type one sees bushing etc ,but like as said 22 inch bitches

its not that difficult. i bred a terrier greyhound litter. you just wait till the wifes out and use the couch. .   ausnick what do you class as a patt.?

I put up the same question a few years ago,It got the same replies your getting...

I like terrier blood, like there constitutions, there attitude, feet etc.Don't have much faith in beddy blood to be honest i know people seem very happy with there beddyxs but trying to find a genuine grafter not just a busher,Would be difficult.(just my opinion)

Patts are every where some right lumps that dont know what bay is that are worked week in week out,Go in lock on types.

You also have wheaton,no taller than pats prob not as well worked,Plenty of lads choice who dont want bull blood.

Ive never bred a litter of pups yet ,but if i was going to go out from scratch to breed my self a pup or two,Patxgrey would be something id like to have a go at.

They could be headstrong but i like that ,and with plenty of work its something you can turn to a advantage. If you had the right pat blood i wouldn't be scared to try it.

Considering we don't have beddys or wheatons here that I know of, I reckon patts would be the next best thing. I like a nice headstrong dog too. Plus, a "thick" dog can be handy in certain situations ;)

I never knocked the x mate in fact i said most where happy  Point i was trying to make is there probally a lot more saying they work pure beddies than actually work them.I dont know one person who has one let alone work it,but i could go out this afternoon and find the perfect pat,and know it had been breed from workers again and again.

It just wouldnt have the pretty fur

if i was you i would look around you carefully to see what other options are available .

but good luck if you go for it.

as a ps the greyhound bitch was used in the lamp and also did fox' some things look ideal on paper but when tried arnt just what you would think they should be. cs

two of the litter went to wales and the fella that took them may have more info for you. he would be better able to asses the ones that went down there. he is on here.

i would import a wheaten cross if i was you as it is everything you want as far as i can tell

A thick dog can be handy in certain situations, could also be a liability in a damn sight more.

Thanks for the info! I already have 5 dogs and I'm just looking for something small for small game and leave my big game dogs to their job, I don't think I'll be willing to rake up $10 000 just for a rabbit/fox/goat dog though ;)

Cleanspade knew someone must have tried it,What you said wouldn't necessarily put me of.

A lot of halfxs are not what i want in a dog.My trouble is if i get a dog in its my responsibility for the rest of its life dont like passing dogs around,so cannot see my self getting a grey in ,only to pass it on when im done.

Any chance you could pm me the member who had the other dogs,So i can ask him how they worked out?
