Kay 3,709 Posted April 10, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 10, 2013 Brave Men , I Bet Your Proud Kay And Rightly So ! keep delving kay the further you get the more addictiveit gets Your right there I wont rest untill I have a copy of his birth cert , when i went back to check on his ww2 records.. it says he was born 14th august 1899 which would have made him 16 years old at the start of the galipolli campaign which was from April 25th 1915 & he said in a letter he was one of the first there in reality would a 16 year old boy have been deployed there , I now assume he lied about his age as the records show him to be 27 when he enlisted , but that could be the reason he used his mother maiden name I will get to the bottom of it , bit like a terrier with a rat now Quote Link to post Share on other sites
