Anyone Still At It?

I hung my nets up over a month ago due to finding too many young but I'm half tempted to get out again this week, still not many nettles around and there's plenty of rabbits about at the moment (unlike during the effing season!!).

 

Anyone still getting out? and are you ending up spending half the day digging?

called it a day sunday no kill ins luckily all the babies bolted but they messed up the nets so we only ended up with 3 adult rabbits all day

I'm thinking I might go out with no nets, maybe keep dog on slip and only slip her on adults?

Thinking about stopping theres loads of young rabbits running about my work but on the permissions hardly seeing a young rabbit , last week there was snow on the tops so we get to ferret there a bit longer

1067... is some score matey..i think i have done a few more than that.. I wonder how many Jim has had ? lots more than any of us I imagine.

 

Had some big scores this season with ferrets and lamp.... but some of my best days have been just mooching alone with 1 ferret and the dog and a few nets in the pockets. . . theres a great reward in catching 1 very hard earned bunny.

Stopped over a month ago lots of young about. Frustrating spent all winter waiting for cover to die down then when it finally did they started breeding. Cover has been perfect over the last month.

Last job to do on saturday and only doing that one because i have already booked it in and it is a paying job which they really want doing but stopped the recreational ferreting last week after having to dig ferrets and finding young in nests
