paulus 26
Right, cut the oil drum in half and I'm still here. Luckily it only held depleted uranium and not petrol. Hinges fixed, inside wire brushed out and now I've got a little fire going in it to burn off any nasties. Tomorrow I'm going to fix a bit of angle iron inside for the charcoal and another bit for the grill. How many air holes if any should I drill and how big? Set of legs and a lick of paint and Bob's your Uncle. mines called fred
walshie 2,804
Have you seen the price of s/s grills? I'm not paying that kind of money, so i'm going to get some mesh to do the job. Does anyone know what material this should be made of so as not to taint the food? And don't say asbestos covered lead.

Waz 4,293
Got to be an old trolley reclaimed from the canal for the grills. (obviously not uplifted from the trolley park at the supermarket...!)
stewie 3,387
I've just agreed to make an oil drum barbecue rather than fork out £200 to buy one. I just bought an oil drum off evilbay and I have a welder. How hard can it be? http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+make+an+oil+drum+barbecue+youtube
