I know just the sort of things you mean, Bird. But, I have to ask; What benefits do you think they'll bring?

I have two pairs of rubber boots here. One is my £30.00 pair of steel capped, steel soled, heavy duty beauties. A bit like putting on light armour. But, I feel better around stock with them on.

Then, I have my £6.00 Dunlop's. 100% rubber. Christ! It's like stepping out in high leg, waterproof slippers! Tread on a stone? I grit my teeth. Dog treads on my foot? I grit my teeth!

But, they are ~ somehow ~ dead easy to slip my bare foot into. (Do you wear socks?) I honestly can't explain what ever the subtle difference is, between popping these on ~ and the more mentally focused issue of girding my toes with the heavy duty boots.

Just saying; It might be as easy to just slip out and buy a pair of dead cheap, generic puddle dashers. They'll probably do your feet as much good. And will at least protect your shins from shit too.

thanks mate, what it is norm is if i go to feed the dogs ouside,or go to put the dogs outside, to the garden to the kennels. If it pissing down or been wet+ snow . Just got fed up of putting wellies on, when a small type rubber shoe would have been eaiser to nip on. Ithink 1s was on about were in the sat paper as said green with zip like a dealer boot, them would be spot on .!

Any good? Not strictly 'Dealers'. But, the lack of the side gussets make them more waterproof.

Of course; I'm sure 'The Sunday Papers' probably still offer far cheaper deals. Used to be Russian. Now, I suspect, it'll be Chinese. But, these are a name that resonates.

Ooh! How about some genuine " Muck Boots? Good price there.

I'm thinking how a zip will f**k up, one day, and leave you with one useless boot. Best do without zips and Velcro ;)

I'm thinking what a f***ing boring life you must lead  only kidden ;)
