Cleanspade 3,324
i could do the whippet thing and say the ice cold wind dont bother mine. but it does. cold wind and rain puts there heads down. i cant deny it. same as the smooth russells and pats we worked in the 80s and 90s. . ive seen most smooth breeds worked and any with thin hides and smooth coats suffer in bitter wind . some folk think we are all kids.. its the coat not the breed ya fannies. allways remember your terriers and keep them from wet and from cold for the love of a tyke for its master can never be measured in gold. 6 Quote Link to post

Had a border lakey that had a terrible coat , looked ok until she got wet then it had a parting straight down her back , she also had a very poor under coat Work wise ive never had better but when she got wet and cold she sufferd 1 Quote Link to post
johnny 777 53
Went out with the pack the other night in the snow with a bitterly south east wind up on the hills, our plummers loved it, they looked more pissed off when we got back home Quote Link to post
