What's the best product out there to stop a bitch coming in season

Just wondering what people's opinions are on the different things you can give a bitch to stop them coming in season, injections or pills ? And the name of them, and if they still run alrite after having them

Delvestron generally makes them go way out of form,Ovarid often doesn't even work at all,Durateston often improves performance and as these 3 are the only legit ones in the Uk I'd opt for the latter..Laurabolin is safe but is only freely available in Ireland as it's banned in the Uk...ATB Andy

ive been lucky but never had a lurcher bitch that broke down in winter time or more than once a year thank god it must be a nightmare for the lads that do have this problem

Banned in the UK for racing greyhounds, or banned per se? I got some from my vet no problem: a bit pricey though: had to buy a whole bottle, but it does last.

Thanks for info, my bitch due to come in season middle of jan so not a good time, I've herd you can use the pill for women on dogs to stop them coming in, anyone tried this and any affects ?

I'd opt for the Durateston personally In Slips as it very often improves performance although with it being a male hormone it can make bitches quite aggressive..just something to think about?

i used the womans pill on my greyhounds but i was only flapping got to get the prescription from the vet then take it in to a chemist or pharmacy, one a day works a treat and was told by the vet a greyhound will find time on these .also doesnt hurt the bitch as when mine finished racing i took her off them and bred from her .

Its a tablet yes, not sure how long before they due in season you need to give them it but i reckon it will before they start bleeding yes.
