Born Hunter 17,907
http://www.hoax-slay...re-police.shtml Thanks for the link Paid So it appears that these are not "rules" for Bedfordshire police specifically but a rewording of "guidlines" issued by the National Association of Chief Police Officers to all police forces, and while there is a cursory mention toward the end regarding respectful treatment of all other faiths and beliefs, muslim customs and practices are the only ones specifically addressed in the main body of the advisory text. It's often easier to dismiss something out of hand........ or to swallow it hook line and sinker........ but a little digging, thanks to Paids link, reveals that the truth lies somewhere in between! I think the point being though is that it's not other faiths that are being watched for extremism and terrorist cells. I'll guess 95% of them are of Muslim background. These guidlines were clearly written to prevent the Muslim community from feeling unnecessarily persecuted and misstreated without in any way hindering anti terrorism security operations. Otherwise it would just lead to greater cases of extremist views and protection of those terrorists by the larger community who have a strong feeling of being dissrespected and persecuted. I'm not saying it's right................ But other than treating all Muslims as the enemy it's quite a sensible way of going about things IMO. Our security services are fighting a war on our home soil, as our military are on the Extremists home soil, the same way they don't want to make the masses within which the enemy are found hate them (and us) any more than is necessary.
