BS40liam 203
Ok so now the new pup (8weeks old) has had a couple of days to settle in we are now gonna start to leave her on her own over night in the crate in the kitchen. As we had not problems with my lurcher when she was a puppy and previous dogs in the past were kenneled outside, this pup just crys, crys and crys lol. Now it dosnt bother me as ill sleep through anything but my misses is getting wound up already haha! Appart from just leaving her what else can I do to keep her quite in a sense lol? Any sugestions? patterdalejoel 669
you say start to leave her on her own, what did you do before? have her in bed?
BS40liam 203
No she was in the lurchers bed by the side of our bed
patterdalejoel 669
i would of put her in her crate at night as soon as you got her, as she has gone from the shock of leaving litter, then the shock of leaving you and your other dog, so doing it twice. just my thoughts but she needed to get used to crate asap. you need to tell your bird its just a part of getting a pup as well lol, she will stop soon. maybe she cant understand how the lurcher is allowed in the bed and she hasnt
BS40liam 203
Yh I suppose but you know what woman are like! I've stuck the lurcher in the kitchen by the side of the crate to keep the pup company. My misses is banging on about getting a hot water bottle and hormone spray...feckin idiot lol

Warmth will calm the pup, as will a dap difuser.
