Lol could see it now " sick poachers cut off foxes tail and encourage selica greyhounds to savage it " . ..

3 or 4 border collie owners used to meet up at a field near my ma and pas and would do a sort of agility thing....nothing major, just 2 or 3 hurdles and a couple of rings. Some wanker busybody phoned

Council will want a risk assessment and insurance better to ask a farmer to use the corner of a field mate

Any news from the council?

no reply from the council :censored:

i was mistaken, the ground i was intending to use the lure on actually belongs to a local school although it isnt in the school grounds if you get me :rtfm:

so i have messaged the school and they replied saying they will pass it up further and get back to me.

doubt it will get anywhere. still looking. just gained some new permission but the farmer isnt keen on the lure as its an ariable farm (is that the right word? no livestock, just crops) and he needs the ground untouched over the summer.

i personally dont mind going to a football field. if we get moved on then so be it.

I wouldn't have thought it was any different from throwing a ball for your dog, its only an exercise machine when all's said and done

It could be viewed as an organised event so in that case it would probably require some form of permission!

You could say the same about a picnic, I'd run it and see what happens, and if it comes on top, you may be able to wangle somewere perminent to run from by who ever pulls you up

Just had a quick look on fleabay. Fake fox tails (fashion accessory) 11" long. Only a quid posted.

Think this would work with a bottle neck put on so it runs smoothly?

Or would it fall to bits?

Hmmm

We ran the dogs on a lure at my local park. A big fat retriever got interested so we ran that too :D woman seemed chuffed, 20 mins later plod turned up saying they'd had a complaint from the owner of the retriever saying we were trying to nick it :D :D Usual rigmarole of who / what / why but the left happy enough, gave us a number to ring so if we did go round the park again they wouldn't bother turning up ;)
