B.P.R 2,798
A small lightish teddy with a rabbit pelt attached. The rabbit pelt may wind them up that wee bit more ;-) the teddies bounce too much mate. the gundog dummy was good when we first tried it, but wont be any good for the turns, it will knock them over. this is what we used succesfully for months in the summer. its made out of barrier tape and a bottle top. works great if only i can make it a little heavier to drag a bit more. Lol could see it now " sick poachers cut off foxes tail and encourage selica greyhounds to savage it " . .. Sad thing is that's probably exactly what they would think. Mind I can see the "sick poachers steal child's teddy or steal barrier tape from building site...... Regardless of what we do!
rob190364 2,594
wig from fancy dress shop or ebay, with a ledger weight or two tied to the cord for a bit of weight. and if a member of the public questions it just tell them you stole it from your granny 6 months ago and she hasn't been able to leave the house since, tell them all lurcher owners do things like that

Rabbits skins, rags, sandbags, teddies. If it moves across the ground like it does its game for them. I only have to get get the lure out and the dogs are going bonkers. Worst dog for it is my lab x! Ashe destroyed the lure at the whippet racing at kincardine if she had a bit of greyhound in the mix she would be a force to be reckoned with. Ross will vouch for her I didnt think of putting some fishing line ledgers on the end of the line. Good idea
