PIL 7
A big up to Swindon's THL Fettler First off davyt63 what a gent ! I had a problem with my AA S400 the seals needed changing and when pulling the bolt back it was a struggle to engage .I gave him a call and told him what the problems were and his reply was " bring it on over and we'll take a look " . To cut a long story short i had already bought a seal kit a couple of months previous and after finishing work work three hours later than expected i proceeded to make my way over to his humble abode .After an hours journey I finally arrive , I knock on the door (8.30) and get greeted with "about fecking time " then a cheeky smile .With in 5 mins we are in his "man cave " in the garden scope off half the bolts out then his lovely wife Joanne brings us out a brew , i must say he's got her well trained .With all the bolts out and most of the seals fitted there was a problem with getting the brass "thingy" off the inner end of the barrel (too much glue had been used) and no amount of hot air gun would release it . For those who don't know there's a very small seal inside the brass "thingy" . In the process of getting it off it got slightly damaged so like all good fettlers davy said "right feck off home i'll order another one in the morning" . I got a txt in the morning as promised to say "another brass "thingy" has been sent out and would be with with me the following morning" .Anyhow by the time i had finished work the day after davy had fitted all the seals fitted the new brass "thingy" and even managed to sort the bolt problem out . Some how a pellet had managed to get into the bolt housing (god only knows) . All in all a top fella :toast: Part two of davy's kindness , I had a Crosman 766 pump up air rifle that needed new seals fitted . This riffle was going too a young lad that that wanted to get into the sport. The lads onlly 12 and even cocking a BSA Meteor was quit a struggle so i thought this would be ideal .I managed to get a replacement seal kit off flea-bay at an extortionate price but unless i lived in Canada it was that or nothing . To cut a very long story short davy very kindly got it all done and dusted for the young lad and without his help it would still be in bits at the back of the cupboard . So to davy i say many thanks my friend :toast: 7 Quote Link to post
