But there are plenty of stalkers etc who only own a rifle, would the laws common sense still apply to them when the outcome is likely to be more than an ounce of bird shot in the offenders gut and a bandage at A&E? Or what if the burgler came at you up the stairs and you killed him with your shotgun? Would the law's common sense aproach still be taken if it resulted in a death. These wont give a f**k about 4 years behind the door, they will be out in 2 and right back doing it to some other poor family. Why the f**k do we keep these people alive?
