Malt 379
did they all go looking for her, how far away would the nest have been? They'd have been following her about everywhere at that age.. Quote Link to post

kenny14 656
I don't think anyone will have a problem with that but it is a fairly poignant picture IMO Cheers, D. Agree a rats a rat IMO and that image doesn't bother me, "but" I think others might find it distasteful in this section of the forum, get it moved to the trapping & snaring section. Didn't mean it like that, after all a photo that can induce emotion is like a work of art. The pic is of good quality but the subject matter is the issue if you know what I mean, like the diffence between a crap pic of a glorious sunset, or a good pic of an "ordinary" sunset, if that makes any sense Not ab bit bothered about the rats but, as in Lurcher Girl's last post, it does make you think It does me anyway Cheers, D. I appreciate what some people are saying, and certain images can and do invoke different emotions in some people, and my personal view is that I have no problem with anyone posting pics or written accounts of an animal being killed, provided things are done legally and humanely . 1 Quote Link to post
BOSCO 90 11
I once discovered a litter of kittens in the cemetery my Nan is buried in - the mother had been hit by a car, and two kittens feeding off her dead body I spent a couple of hours barefoot in the cemetery, armed with tinned cat food and a blanket; crept up on them and finally caught them. They were totally wild, even at the age of about 5 weeks. Took them home, fed them, socialised them and rehomed them. Still, I'll never get the image of them feeding off her like that out of my head. Very interesting to see. Survival at it's most gruesome. ... well, until you came along that is And for the record, a rat is a rat - I've no issue with you despatching them why? Quote Link to post

What I mean is that "the after" photo would best have been posted in the snaring trapping section, which it now has been, the first photo yes, its pest control, but at same time, that's nature, as said born survivors and gives you something to think about. The second photo is pest control and nothing else Quote Link to post
patterdalejoel 669
if they hadnt followed the mum and been dispatched, would they have survived on their own? Quote Link to post
