torchey 1,202
Found a young hedgehog today walking along the road, looked a bit worse for wear so took it home and removed a monster tick off it and put it in a box with a drink, has anyone had one and what did they feed it??Pretty sure they,re having a pretty bad time as i haven,t seen one for years ,if it survives where would be the best place to release it...cheers

foxtails 272
theres plenty of hedghogs here in south wales,i see them all the time throughout the spring and summer, the dog seems to find endless amounts of them, but i try to keep her clear as theyr normally riddled with fleas, but your best bet is feed it worms and release it near to where you found it,hope it goes well, alb

j1985 1,983
I had a American bulldog bitch that used to love chewing them up!! Used to have to spend ages picking spines out the roof of her mouth and gums..the noise it made when she bit them was awful! Im glad none of my dogs I have now are the same. I quite like them, strange little things...not to keen when one wakes the dogs up and sets them off barking at 3:30 in the morning though.

Water not milk, and don't use flea spray on them as it will kill them. And believe it or not, keep it free from drafts.
skycat 6,172
They may be vermin to some, but they are also good friends to gardeners or anyone who grows vegetables etc. I wish we had more of them to help eat all our real garden 'vermin'.
