gonetoearth 5,144
Two lads came second in the rowing won silver but all they could say was we have let every one down they had gone. Through a brick wall. Sacrificed. All for years. Won gold four years ago but still thier inconsolable.

gnasher16 31,490
Few cycling clubs in my town mate, in fact my old man was in one when he was younger. Cyclings very popular, always passing guys on bikes. It's maybe harder in the city of London though, maybe why you don't see so many. It's certainly not for me lol. I won a mountain bike a few year back in some raffle. Lay in my kitchen for months, still in package. Eventually sold it for 150 to a mate lol Probably right......the only people i ever see on bikes are swarming round your car trying to get away from the traffic lights on their way into the city in suit and tie...........dont think the ol Boris bikes are quite up to velodrome standards either

gnasher16 31,490
what was that bike race about where they ride along slow as feck watching each other then just take off when the bell rings??? f****n ridiculous that its like playing hide and seek silly b*****ds..............must admit theres some pretty daft events i dont like all these variations of cycling and rowing etc...............its all very well saying people like Hoy or Phelps are the greatest Olympians but i heard Michael Johnson say something interesting.....he said " if they had events for running sideways and backwards id probably have 20 gold medals as well "...............hard to disagree like. gonetoearth 5,144
On another note I have never seen America. So poor in the boxing They used to dominate every. Division. Here's we're we see the importance of funding , since Australia. Held the games they have suffered , we are lucky to have lottery funding long may it continue. tegater 789
I cant remember a more exciting time in British sport, the kids are phoning me every 5 minutes telling me about another win. Forget sports personality of the year 2012, it should be the whole team GB!
