:clapper: I agree with SJM. I dont believe that lamping a hare takes an athlete of a dog.It does take one though to catch a january hare.especially when its uphill on flinty ground.anyone who has ever seen a course on the hares own ground, in january in early morning, and watched it run and turn and twist, well it dont run to be accurate they jump, and uphill on flint and watched a dog that follows those moves and beats it cant fail to be utterly amazed at the whole unbelievable spectacle.the hares feet dont get ripped by the razor flints but the dogs do,and he dont even feel it,lots got away but when it didnt wow.And they shoot them in their thousands dont they beggars belief. :victory:

Lamped them.

And whoever says they are easy, hasnt seen what i have

I've only ever took about 30 in a season, but wasn't really into them in a big way, biggest bag i took was 7 in one night. and ran at least double that number.

how many would you have taken during the day :hmm: and if that was with one dog or doubled up do you think it ( they) would have the stamina to run seven day time hares never mined fourteen, if you think about it you will know which is harder and which isn't.

And yes I did lamp them before the ban but if your out to see the dog work and not just for the kill it has to be day time coursing every time. B)
