Matt 160
The chains are always a giveaway...... Report them to Trading Standards. They have history. I hate rip off merchants like this who try and pass crud off as the real thing. Quote Link to post

BEARINATOR 2,924
do they still do the job? They will but better off with proper ones Quote Link to post
Matt 160
And if there no fens are they legal to use ?. i dont think so No, they are not legal to use. The law is clear - only those traps that are listed on the Spring Trap Approval Order can be legally used in the UK. There is a little confusion about the reference to 'clones', but to be considered a clone under the act they have to be the same dimensions, and the same quality. These far eastern copies are not. do they still do the job? No they don't. They are underpowered and fall apart in a short space of time. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Remember the old saying; buy cheap, buy twice. They may cost a little more, but genuine Fenn traps are still made in England and are very effective in the right hands. The chinky crud offered on ebay and by some less scrupulous websites are a false economy and are fit for nothing except the scrap bin. Quote Link to post
The one 8,597
Thats what i was thinking if there not on the approved traps list you cant use them ,and ive heard that the cheapies can fall to bits when they fire Quote Link to post
