Capitalism, brilliant, i'm all for it. But we dont have real capitalism, it's a rigged game. If we had real capitalism the banks would be allowed to fail, then competitors would move in and make a bet

They will iron out all of our money then put a gun to our head and say " if you don't vote for more Europe then we will chuck you all down the khazi"   They are scare mongering but the fact is, the

Stu, every so often we get a gem of a topic in here! :D

Stu, every so often we get a gem of a topic in here! :D

Well I have to admit I am somewhat pleasantly surprised and all done without personal abuse to the postee you should all deserve a pat on the back for the way you have conducted your responses.

Maybe you should all go into politics and put right whats gone wrong from past decisions that has caused all this financial suffering.

On second thoughts maybe not .

The country should be run like a successful business where they manufacture and sell and make a profit.

Thats where this country went wrong many years ago.

We have turned into a country of white collar workers who dont produce any goods that we can export and rely on importing goods from other countries. The Great has gone out of Britain we once stood proud before the world in the products we produced and the rest of the world new we produced the best of all goods obtainable.

We are now the meek relying on other countries for that, the laughable part in all this is we let these countries in to our own trained them at our universities and establishments and they went back to their own countries , manufactured those ideas and then sold them back to us.

What are we thick??? or what, we go around the world do gooding pulling other countries out of the shite when they suffer famine and war then we get stabbed in the back.

We join europe let the populus into to take our jobs at a reduced price that we cant compete millions of us are out of work,

Are we ferking thick or what???

Its about time we put the Great back into Britain and pull out of Europe. Manufacture and export more and concentrate on production rather than increasing support industries like banking etc etc who only create an industry of national debt.

No ferker listens to my rants and why should they, I am just an old fart who has lived and seen these changes happen for the worst. Why should they listen .

I dont have a bank and even if someone give me £100.000 to put in one I truthfully would not accept it believe it or not for in my time I have been stuffed by the financial institutions for over 1/2 million sponnies but thats a different story.

Learn from my words DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH BANKS

Once your in the system your ferked.

Get out now while you can.

Victorians had the right idea dont get anything unless you can pay outright for it.

H.P and borrowing money leads to nothing long term. there are only one winner and thats the financial institutions backed by the courts aint that the truth.

Cheers

Stu

It's as you were in Greece, no seismic changes....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-18482415

And so the whole thing will rumble on, consuming cash as it gos.....

As Blair knew very well, people are easily bought......they don't like the bitter pill or the fact that they no longer run their own country but are willing to put all that aside to still get the easy money from Europe.

The Spanish bailout is so ludicrous it's almost laughable......Italy will have to contribute 20 percent of that money and loan it to Spain at 3 percent BUT Italy will have to borrow the money to lend them at 7 percent !!!!......you couldn't make it up could you!!

While we're on the subject...

Im probably going to get flak for this but credit where credit's due - if it wasn't for Gordon Brown we'd be even further in the shit than we are now as a member of the Eurozone. It's one of the only things I can remember him with any fondness for. If it wasn't for his insistence as chancellor that certain strict economic tests were met before we joined, Blair would have had us dive into the Euro with both feet without so much as a second thought..

As an aside, IMHO we should forget all this dream of Britain once again being a manufacturing powerhouse.....never gonna happen.

We are too small and our labour laws to restrictive to be competitive in mass production, we should focus on the things we are good at like technology, high quality products, moving money and service.

The days of mass production are gone.

Hated blair malt from day one. Gordon brown was no prime minister material. He just didn't come across on tv And to the public very well.

However I agree With you mate, he certainly knew figures. He had accumulated a massive load of cash. Which prob woukdnt have saved us from the recession, but would have softened the blow that's for sure. Unfortunaetly that grinning c**t Blair managed to get his hands on it and squander it in a war. I also think brown didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of being accepted by

The nation, cause it was sick fed up with labour . And the old cliche fly with the crows get shot with the crows.

You right we seem to be good at all those things and we most certainly in the last 30 years have made a good job of training the rest of the world but they have learned really well and selling what they have learned in manufacturing back to us.

Hang on anyone see that knife embedded in my back EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Maybe its about time the Government here had a change of game plan.

Come out of the European community stop this traffic of European citizens from working here, give the technology to our own. create more oportunity for would be entrepreneurial trained talent who are helped financially by the government to create further jobs with a decent pay. Maybe with incentive employment grants and additional subsidize to help new businesses to employ and train more staff that would help for a start. The Trade secretary should be in a position to search out markets for would be entrepreneurs for there business to flourish with markets both home and abroad.

Trade openly with the rest of the world as we used to do as the game plan in existance at the moment dosent work the proof is in the pudding for all to see.

That's a curious statement. What possible bad could come from someone legitimately giving you a bank account with £100k in it?

Also, another question for you on the same note; Very few could ever afford to buy a property in cash at any point in their life but could quite easily with a say 20-30 year mortgage. So what advantage do you see to these people renting all their lives as oposed to taking out a mortgage?

BH, to answer your first question, if you deposit £100,000 in a bank account, that bank all of a sudden has £1,000,000. The whole system is being fed by Deposited money.... Greece is fcuked because the people woke up and withdrew their cash, leaving the banks with nothing.

Also BH just re read your post and I think you're missing the point. We need currency, but as a nation we don't have the power to print our own, the banks print it and lend it to us with interest. The whole system is self serving and corrupt - so there's nothing inherently wrong with a mortgage but the way it's done at the moment is crap.

Greece is f****d cause they cooked thier books And had no intention of putting anything into the pot, only what they could get out of it.

And we're allowed to do so, cause they wanted this euro state at any cost!
