chartpolski 28,498
Yeah Whin; it's a great place for hunters and hunting !! I've spent a bit time down there, mainly Texas, I was based in San Antonio, and had trips out around Waco and Fredriksburg, We may have some mutual aquaintances out there ! I saw the Pecos and the Rio Grande, even managed to fit in some sightseeing, The Alamo, Book Depository, Dealy Plaza, etc. Nice people, well into their huntin', shootin', fishin', It would be a great place to live and hunt, just like Oz and NZ ! Cheers. 3 Quote Link to post

BLACKWATER... 157
we never done any sight seeing that trip all hunting with dogs and a bit shopping in walmart now theres a place for cheap tools and hunting clobber ,an estwing long handled 24 oz hammer for shuttering was only 13 quid 40 here , i usaly fill a suitcase bring it home and barter with the natives here lol,im glad ive had the chance to see some real hunting , on all sorts with expierenced hunting guides , they like scotland but not the laws , end off realy ,went cat fish fishing no noodling just rod and crawfish and bait , good eating side fillets, ther e not into collie type over there probaly wouldnt take the heat and not got enough running wind for the wide open pairies the prefer the big staghounds and stag hound saluki types ,for long running and well they dont rate lamping as they dont need to hide there gear or any that nonsense ,its all daylite mostly i take them lamping they like it but dont like the thought of mopping loads up , they like the chase catch is secondry ,its agreat place to be if you like daylite coursing at its finest or coyote etc , dogs soon get found out on the prairies , as the jack rabbit is a swift customer ,all the best 3 Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Walmart, the only shop I've ever been in where you could buy your groceries in one aisle and a shotgun in the next! I spent a while in Texas years ago but never did any hunting, it was only later i realised what a wasted opportunity it was! Quote Link to post
