i fish with lures on the leeds liverpool canal and my record is 8lb . not massive but where i fish i dont think they get much bigger but theres plenty of them

Like i said there seem's to be plenty in certain area's, lot's upto 8lb-9lb, harder to find the double's, but they are about, got to keep searching, good luck.

Good size carp up that end, maghull stretch good on floater's, lot's of match fishermen = lot's of bait.

I am struggling lately on the canal with lure's, i can't buy a bite, but it's been really coloured lately, i'm thinking it will settle down soon and it should get good, seen alot of carp mooching about,some big carp aswell, but i'm sticking with the lure's.

ive found with lures on canal wait for the cold weather [bANNED TEXT] canals freeze theres no boat traffic so the water goes cleaner and the melting of ice meks the difference.ive found if you fish marinas i cast into them and just when my lure is at mouth of marina i get takes.

ive fished both swims in the past and had jacks, wango lane, over the alt, the turnin part and cricket club, fished em' all. Mate said he was float fishin up by scotland road and 2 different pike took roach on the retrieve, may try up there on monday

Stay off my stretch you little poacher, i fish that end, it has been hard lately, but the water was coloured with all the rain, should of settled now.
