i dont like noisy dogs but its worse at home in kennels, the young bitch i have is great while off the lead bushing and using her nose but a fecking pain in kennels, yappy b*****d that even after an hour running loose and a good feed will spend the rest of the time jumping up and down at her wire door.

Thomas its usually only pups or young terriers that will bark there heads of while tied out,an experienced terrier will know the score and lay quietly waiting its turn.I have a bitch here that screams the place down while in kennell but while out in the field or working her game not a peep from her, noisy terrier in places can get you into bother evevn with permission. If your near a road or path all it takes is some nosey c**t to call the law even though everything is above board its a nuisence trying to explain what your at.

I like quiet dogs but have, in the past, had one or two that were a bit restless and yappy when tied up during a dig. I like to get pups out when they are young to see what's what and to take it all in but in those cases mentioned above I think they might've been too young and it became too much for them - so it was probably my fault. No matter how much you chided one of them - a strong cobby lakie dog - he got louder and louder and at times became a bit hysterical. Apart from that he was one of the best dogs I ever owned. My fault so I just put up with it. Funny though he was one of the quietest terriers in kennels ever and hardly made a sound. All the best. :toast:

One of my best dogs never shuts up either tied at a hole, in transport box in the van, in the kennels, constantly yapping!Drive ya mad, any of the other dogs do it and they are scorned immediatly but the old dog always done it and couldn't be stopped! He is prob the best tarrier i have ever owned or will own! funnily his offspring are noisy aswell. I put up wit it tho, i know all he wants is to be down a hole.
