the_stig 6,614
Frotch style suited ward that nite , he was slow to start as he was with Kessler , what impressed me last night was his guts and over wellming power , make no mistake mcaracken will work on tactics and make sure Carl has sparing to suit the opponent On the matter of world class frotch is not the most technical boxer in the world but he can as he has proved can up his game , and in my opinion and book he is an old school out and out fighter , he has the respect of every boxer current and past he put himself in the record books last nite three time world champ only three other British boxers have done it , hope he gets the pays days to repay his determination , froch says of the ward fight being away from home he got bored went flat and lost focus a bad day at the office --this thurs before the bute fight he was mowing his back lawn friday night he ate out in his fav resturant in town and slept in his own bed ... rob284 1,682
You ask fans from other countries etc have you seen carl froch i bet the majority havnt got a clue who the hell he is he fights like an old man slow & sloppy totally overated i mean hatton fought the best in the world and he got destroyed thats why i wouldnt say he was world class mayweather pacquiao cotto klitschko .... etc they are world class i would even say maybe berto alvarez ortiz they are close to be world class and even though hes not fighting top top names yet i would say adrian broner is world class even though he hasnt proven it yet anyway ..... i understand what you mean about the word becuase it really means like top ten or 15 in the world that are considered world class but i really wouldnt take froch as a world class fighter hatton & calzaghe were game to throwdown with anybody there really the only decent boxers to do well lately but ' world class' ..... not sure ..... khan is another good fighter but im still 50/50 on him & his chin , fair enough prescott blew his head off with 'VERY GOOD HARD SHOTS ' but every time he gets caught in a fight he seems to wobble ? hopefully kel brook doesnt crumble like hatton did when he gets the opportunity & then we could see somebody conquer at world level but who has froch fought ? big names ? calzaghe not world class. Hmm not sure about that seeming as he beat eubank jones and hopkins. All middleweight legends. And still never lost.
Attack Fell Terrier 864
Froch looked the business. Every punch he landed on Bute seemed to take a serious toll on the Romanian. Excellent win for Froch that was!

Excellent win for Froch that was! be the best performance we`ll see from a british fighter this year -- You're probably right mate. Froch fought like a man that had something to prove! and f**k me didn't he do a great job of it! Any idea what he'll be doing next Stig? A move up in weight if he can secure a title shot maybe? Another Pascal bout would be bang on!

gnasher16 31,122
Only just watched the fight this morning....what a fantastic performance i thought Froch fought perfectly he put it on Bute from the start and was just too intense,i really admire Froch he is what we English love.......he,s not a particularly skillful or talented fighter....he,s none too graceful and certainly has a lot of technical faults......but by f**k does that boy have desire and a will to win its so refreshing to watch a fighter like him wear his heart on his sleeve and put everything on the line with no fear of losing fights i think he,s a great example to the young fighters coming through that protecting unbeaten records can get you in more trouble than going out and losing a few fights and getting used to not having things go all your own way, knowing what it feels like to have your back against the wall and taking a loss and coming back..... You Notts folk really have a fighter to be proud of.........................on a showing like that its not a case of who he can get a fight with next its more a case of who will have the bottle to take Froch on !...........Nothing puts more fear into a fighter than an implacable will.....and thats what Froch has.............great fight great win
